You will need:
Spinning angel template (see Printables)
Colouring pencils and/or felt-tips
How to prepare:
Print or photocopy sufficient angel templates for one per child. For younger children you may want to cut out the templates before the session. Make a sample ‘spinning angel’ so the children know what they are making.
How to make:
1. Cut out and colour in your paper angel, cutting along the solid lines only.
2. Fold along the dashed lines as shown in the pictures. Fold the first wing so that the dashed line is on the outside of the fold, then fold the end section so that the dashed line is on the inside of the fold.
3. Fold the second wing so that the dashed line is on the inside of the fold, then fold the end section so the dashed line is on the outside.
4. Fold the bottom section so the dashed line is on the outside of both folds and slide a paperclip onto the bottom of the angel.
Hold the angel above your head before dropping it. Watch the angel spin to the floor. If you have time make a second or third angel.
