A gift of forgiveness
15 minute Craft planner
You will need:
Gift box template (see Printables)
‘God forgives’ textbox (see Printables)
Ribbon cut to 30 cm lengths (preferably fabric although metallic ribbon would do)
A hole punch
Coloured or white card
Plasticine or sticky tac
Canapé decorations*, tinsel and/or drinking straws
Coloured pencils and/or felt-tips
* Available from online stores such as partypieces.co.uk or Amazon
How to prepare:
Print enough textboxes and templates for one per child. Cut out the gift box templates. Make a sample ‘gift of forgiveness’ so the children know what they are making.
How to make:
1. Colour in and cut out a textbox. Cut out your template, cutting along the solid lines. Use a ruler and a closed pair of scissors to carefully score four lines around the base of the gift box.
2. Punch a hole in the tip of each triangle as shown in the picture. Attach the textbox to a canapé decoration or a straw. Cut the decoration so that it measures no more than 5 cm in height. Place a ‘blob’ of sticky tac or plasticine in the middle of the base of the gift box. Push the end of the canapé decorations into the blob of sticky tac. Fold in the sides of the gift box.
3. Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie the ends to make ‘a gift of forgiveness’.
